Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)

For patients with medical conditions that prevent them from getting their daily nutrition from regular meals, Total Parenteral Nutrition is a method of supplying the patient with their recommended daily nutrients intravenously.

IV Antibiotic Therapy

For some patients, taking antibiotic medication orally is not an option. Patients with severe infections, or who cannot swallow, may need this type of treatment. Furthermore, some medications are only available intravenously.

IV Hydration Therapy

Patients who are severely dehydrated or who have severe nausea and vomiting or diarrhea can make use of IV hydration therapy to replenish the fluids they have lost.

IV PCA Palliative Care

For patients in the final stages of life, who may require regular administration of medication for pain, PCA (Patient Controlled Analgesia) allows them to self-administer treatment when they need it.

Chemotherapy

Many types of cancer cannot be treated effectively with oral medications. Intravenous chemotherapy ensures the patient is getting the appropriate amount of medication to successfully treat the cancer while minimizing potential side-effects.

Wound Therapy

Wounds may cause severe pain, become infected, or cause extensive fluid loss. Delivery of medications intravenously can effectively treat all of these conditions and thereby aid in healing.
